Following SSU investigation, traitor, who leaked data on AFU training center in Kharkiv region, sentenced to 15 years in prison
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another gunner of enemy missile attacks on Kharkiv region has been sentenced to imprisonment.
The offender was a member of the fsb agent network, which was dismantled in the regional center in June 2023.
Then the SSU detained all three members of the criminal group, who were engaged in adjusting fire on the territory of Kharkiv and the region.
Following the SSU investigation, the court sentenced one of the offenders to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
According to the investigation, the convict is a 64-year-old resident of a village in Kharkiv district, who was remotely recruited by the fsb.
To carry out enemy assignments, the agent was gathering information about the temporary location of the AFU training center in Kharkiv region, the geolocation of fortifications and firing positions of Ukrainian troops defending the regional center.
To gather intelligence, he drove around the city and the region under the guise of a taxi driver and secretly asked passengers for the information he needed.
Communications with the enemy intelligence service took place through another traitor, Oleksandr Slisarenko, who was one of the heads of the local occupation administration of the russian federation after the capture of Kupiansk.
To communicate, the agent used an anonymous chat in a popular messenger.
During the search, mobile phones and computer equipment with evidence of cooperation with the occupiers were seized from the detainee.
Based on the evidence, the court found the accused guilty under Articles 28.2, 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed by a group of persons under martial law).
As reported earlier, in June this year, another member of the fsb agent group was sentenced to 15 years in prison based on the SSU evidence. The investigation into the third suspect is ongoing.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
