Following SSU investigation, kremlin ‘military correspondent’ sentenced in absentia to 15 years in prison for guiding russian S-300 missiles at Mykolaiv
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, the traitor of Ukraine Serhii Lebediev (also known as ‘Lokhmatyi’) has been sentenced to imprisonment.
He works for the FSB as a ‘freelance military correspondent’ for the moscow-based RIA Novosti news agency and is hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied Donetsk.
The trial was held in a special court proceeding in absentia. The court sentenced Lebedev to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
According to the investigation, the perpetrator carried out the FSB’s assignments in several areas.
The first was to collect intelligence on Ukraine’s Defence Forces and to adjust russian air attacks on our civilian infrastructure.
For this purpose, Lebedev engaged informants whom he found using his Telegram channel with over 30,000 subscribers.
Following a ‘tip’ from one of them, ‘Lokhmatyi’ adjusted the strike by russian S-300 missiles on a high-rise building in Mykolaiv in autumn 2022.
The traitor also recruited a resident of Zakarpattia, who provided him with data on locations of military units in the border region.
In the meantime, Lebedev also actively participated in preparing paid-for stories for kremlin TV channels. In them, he spread fakes about Ukraine’s Defence Forces and the situation at the front.
The court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The term of the convict’s sentence will start on the date of his actual detention.
The special pre-trial investigation was carried out by the SSU Offices in Zakarpattia and Mykolaiv regions under the procedural supervision of Zakarpattia Region Prosecutor’s Office.
