Following SSU’s investigation, traitor who adjusted ‘Grad’ and ‘Smerch’ MRLs strikes on Kyiv sentenced to 15 years in prison
The SSU has collected substantiated evidence proving the guilt of the enemy accomplice, who adjusted missile strikes on Kyiv at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
In March last year, the aggressor used his intelligence to shell a district of Kyiv from ‘Grad’ and ‘Smerch’ multiple rocket launchers.
The strike killed two people and injured four.
The same month, the SSU detained the traitor at his home.
Following the SSU’s investigation, the court sentenced him to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
According to the investigation, the offender is a resident of Kyiv’s Sviatoshynskyi district, who supported russia’s armed aggression.
To help the invaders, the man created a public Telegram channel and posted coordinates of Ukrainian defenders’ base and a critical infrastructure facility.
This Internet resource was used by the russian occupation troops for preparing and launching artillery and missile strikes on the capital.
In social networks, the person in question called for support for russian invaders and justified their war crimes.
During the searches at the suspect’s home, the SSU found electronic files that contained a list of Ukrainian military facilities and their coordinates.
Based on the collected evidence, the court found the enemy accomplice guilty of high treason committed under martial law (Article 111.2 of the CCU).
The SSU emphasizes the inevitability of punishment for crimes against Ukraine.
The SSU Office in Kyiv and Kyiv region carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
