Following SSU’s investigation, court convicts traitor, who passed intelligence to FSB on military and infrastructure facilities in Dnipropetrovsk oblast, to 15 years in prison

The SSU has collected irrefutable evidence proving the guilt of another FSB agent who conducted reconnaissance and sabotage in Dnipropetrovsk region.

His intelligence was passed to russian occupiers at the time when Kryvyi Rih airfield was struck by enemy missiles.

He also provided the aggressor with coordinates of road and transport infrastructure as well as social institutions, including schools and colleges.

Invaders needed these data to prepare new air attacks on the Ukrainian city.

The SSU detained the enemy accomplice in the course of counter-sabotage operations in the frontline areas in southern Ukraine.

Based on the SSU’s investigation, the court sentenced him to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

According to the investigation, the convicted agent is a local resident and a former employee of a large industrial enterprise.

In May 2022, an officer of the FSB’s 5th Service remotely engaged him in covert cooperation.

For recruitment, the enemy used one of the pro-kremlin Telegram channels, where the suspect actively expressed support for russia’s armed aggression.

To carry out the assignments, the traitor drove around the city and took covert photos of the infrastructure.

Then, he sent a ‘report’ to the FSB in the form of marks on electronic maps, georeferenced media files, detailed descriptions of targets and surrounding areas.

During the search, the offender’s cell phone with evidence of his communication with the aggressor was seized.

Based on the collected evidence, the court found the accused guilty of high treason committed under martial law (Article 111.2 of the CCU).

The SSU emphasizes the inevitability of punishment for crimes against our state.

The SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
