Following SSU’s investigation, collaborator who guarded ruscist administrative buildings during Kherson occupation sentenced to 8 years in prison

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another member of the occupation ‘main directorate of the interior ministry in Kherson region’ has been brought to justice.

The SSU detained the offender earlier this year during stabilization activities in the liberated Kherson. The collaborator’s ‘police ID’ was seized.

According to the investigation, the person in question is a local who voluntarily cooperated with the aggressor during the occupation and joined the russian punitive authority.

There, he was appointed to a ‘separate battalion of Kherson patrol service’ and was given russian weapons and uniform.

While in this ‘position’, the collaborator guarded the captured administrative buildings, where ruscists had set up local occupation authorities.

The man also participated in abduction of Kherson residents who resisted the invaders, who were then taken to russian torture chambers.

Following the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty of collaboration (Article 111-1 of the CCU).

Given his cooperation with the investigation, the court sentenced him to 8 years in prison and disqualified him from holding positions in law enforcement and government institutions for 15 years.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kherson region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
