Following SSU’s investigation, ‘vice-mayor of Torez’ involved in deportation of Ukrainians to Siberia sentenced to 15 years in prison

To do this, the ‘official’ organized a ‘transit point’ in Torez, which was used to forcibly transfer residents of Mariupol and Volnovakha to remote regions of the aggressor state.

People were taken to various ‘destinations’, including Siberia and the Far East of russia.

Following the SSU’s investigation, the court sentenced the occupation ‘vice mayor’ to 15 years in prison.

Investigators established that the woman had joined the terrorist organization ‘DNR’ back in 2016.

At that time, occupiers appointed her ‘manager of Yenakiyevo occupation administration’.

There, she organized anti-Ukrainian rallies, helped with cantonment of militants and their logistical support.

Later, the ‘official’ was promoted to ‘vice-mayor of Torez’ and was entrusted taking care of ‘social issues’.

Based on the evidence, the court found the accused guilty under two Articles of the CCU:

  • 111.2 (high treason committed under martial law);
  • 258-3.1 (participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organization).

The convict is currently hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied part of Ukraine. The law enforcement is acting to bring her to justice.

The SSU Office in Chernivtsi region conducted the investigation under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
