SSU materials help to sentence traitor to 15 years in prison

Due to evidence collected by the SSU, another fsb agent who provided intelligence on the Defense Forces in Odesa region received a real prison term.

After russian full-scale invasion, the offender passed information to the aggressor about the training of the Ukrainian Navy in the Black Sea.

He also gathered information about the combat training of the Ukrainian ground forces at training areas in Odesa region, including Javelin gunners.

If the assigned tasks were successfully performed, the traitor would receive an apartment in the occupied Crimea from russian supervisors. According to available data, the fsb promised him a residential property worth USD 200,000.

SSU officers detained the offender in Odesa region while he was trying to obtain intelligence.

According to the SSU materials, the court sentenced traitor to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Investigators established that the criminal is a former military intelligence chemist who served at the headquarters of the Odesa Military District until the mid-90s.

In 2010, he was recruited by the russian special service. After several accomplished test missions, fsb agent was waiting for particular tasks.

Based on the evidence collected, the court found the offender guilty under Part 1 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason).

The investigation was conducted under the supervision of the Odesa Region Prosecutor's Office.
