Following SSU’s investigation, Donetsk region gauleiter Pushylin sentenced to 15 years in prison in absentia
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, head of russia’s occupation administration in temporarily occupied Donetsk Denys Pushylin has been convicted.
The court sentenced him to 15 years in prison in absentia.
In addition, the collaborator was deprived of the right to hold positions in state authorities, public administration, local self-government bodies related to the provision of public services, the performance of organizational, administrative and economic functions for a period of 15 years with the confiscation of all his property.
According to the investigation, Pushylin is fulfilling moscow's instructions to facilitate russia's armed aggression and the spread of the kremlin regime in the eastern region of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion, he has been ensuring the transfer of enemy troops to the eastern front, including through roads and railways.
The collaborator was involved in organizing the sham referendum on the ‘accession’ of the occupied area of Donetsk region to russia.
After the fake plebiscite, Pushylin signed an illegitimate ‘agreement on the accession’ of the region to russia.
Based on the evidence collected, the court found the gauleiter guilty under the following Articles of the CCU:
- 28.5, 111-1.5 (participation in organization and holding of illegal referendums in the temporarily occupied territory, committed upon prior conspiracy by a group);
- 110.2 (intentional actions committed to change the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine in violation of the procedure established by the Constitution of Ukraine, upon prior conspiracy by a group).
The term of the sentence will be counted from the moment of his actual detention.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Offices in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
