Based on SSU’s investigation, court seizes russian businessman’s enterprise in Chernihiv region worth UAH 1 bln
Following the SSU’s investigation, the court seized all real estate of a textile company in Chernihiv oblast. The company’s ultimate beneficiary is a russian businessman working for the russian military-industrial complex.
The court’s decision pertains to production facilities, warehouses and offices of the enterprise.
The total value of the arrested property is over UAH 1 bln (USD 25 mln).
According to available data, the beneficiary of the Ukrainian industrial facility also owns a group of russian companies that produced and supplied military clothing and gear for the russian army and security forces.
Investigators are verifying if, before the full-scale invasion began, the Ukrainian company sent russian military-grade fabric to belarus.
For export, the business used a network of controlled companies that carried out foreign economic operations for the benefit of the enemy.
Criminal proceeding was initiated by the SSU under the Article 110-2.3 of the CCU (financing actions committed with the aim of forceful change or overthrow of constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of boundaries of the territory or the state border of Ukraine). The investigation is ongoing.
The decision is pending regarding a handover of the seized property to the National Agency of Ukraine for Detection, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and other Crimes (ARMA).
The SSU Office in Chernihiv region carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of Chernihiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
