Following the SSU’s investigation, the court seized another two land plots with real estate that were illegally owned by Oksana Marchenko.

The total value of the seized property is almost UAH 17.5 mln (USD 467,000).

These plots are located in a renowned tourist area of Lviv region. There, Medvedchuk’s wife organized unlawful construction of a hotel complex.

The investigation established that Marchenko had obtained the land through an illegal real estate deal.

The former chief of the district land resources department is involved in the unlawful activity.

During 2004-2010, he entered false information in the reporting documentation for issuing land ownership state acts for Marchenko’s benefit.

The official has now been served a notice of suspicion under two Articles of the CCU:

• 364.2 (abuse of power or position);
• 366.2 (forgery by official).

The case file has been forwarded to court.

Earlier, in August 2022, the SSU initiated a seizure of three land plots illegally owned by Marchenko in Lviv oblast.

The investigation is ongoing.

The SSU Office in Lviv region is conducting the investigation jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
