Following SSU’s investigation, court to consider case on top collaborators of liberated Snihurivka

The SSU has collected irrefutable evidence proving the guilt of three collaborators from Mykolaiv oblast, who headed the ruscist occupation authorities during the temporary occupation of Snihurivka.

They voluntarily agreed to take ‘leadership positions’ in the illegitimate entities at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

The organizer of this criminal group is a former resident of Mykolaiv region, pro-russian propagandist Yuriy Barabashov.

His ‘appointment’ was personally facilitated by the terrorist Pushilin, for whom Barabashov worked for a long time in the temporarily occupied Donetsk.

In the ‘position’ in Snihurivka, Barabashov fulfilled moscow’s instructions to spread the kremlin regime and suppress the resistance movement.

The ‘official’ organized the sham referendum on the ‘accession’ of the captured part of Mykolaiv oblast to russia.

Barabashov involved two accomplices - former head of Snihurivka Town Council Oleksandr Larchenko and member of Bashtanka District Council Tetiana Mezina.

Under the gauleiter’s direction, they organized door-to-door visits to locals and forced people to ‘vote’ in favor of the aggressor state.

If people refused, they threatened with repressions and ‘confiscation’ of property.

Members of ‘election commissions’ involved armed russian military servicemen in such ‘raids’.

During the liberation of Mykolaiv oblast, all three collaborators fled to the temporarily occupied part of southern Ukraine.

Based on the collected evidence, the SSU notified the offenders of suspicion under the Articles of the CCU:

  • 111-1.6, 28.3 (collaboration, committed by an organized group);
  • 111-2.1 (aiding the aggressor state).

SSU investigators have submitted the indictment against these three individuals to court.

The accused are facing 10 to 12 years in prison.

The SSU is acting to hold the offenders to account for crimes against our state.

The SSU Office in Mykolaiv region carried out the investigation jointly with the National Police under the procedural supervision of Mykolaiv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
