Following SSU’s investigation, Aksyonov’s associate, who prepares Crimean children for war with Ukraine, declared suspect

The SSU has collected evidence against collaborator Ani Hryhoryan, the ‘deputy head’ of the occupation ‘Crimean youth policy committee’.

She was appointed to this ‘position’ in November 2022 under the personal patronage of the gauleiter of Crimea Aksyonov to massively impose kremlin propaganda on local youth.

As a member of the occupation ‘government’, Grigoryan publicly calls on Crimean schoolchildren to prepare for war against Ukraine and enter russian military schools.

She spoke on this ‘issue’ to a hundred students in Foros at a school assembly this autumn.

The ‘activist’ is also the head of the so-called ‘Avangard centre for military and patriotic education’, established by the occupiers on the peninsula.

There, russian instructors teach local high school students combat tactics and the use of small arms.

In addition to a military ‘course’, the students are being indoctrinated to develop a hostile attitude towards Ukraine and willingness to participate in warfare against the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

To force children to join Avangard, the collaborator gives direct instructions to school principals and communicates with parents.

Based on the evidence collected, the SSU served Grigoryan a notice of suspicion in absentia under Article 111-1.5 of the CCU (collaboration, voluntary holding of a position by a citizen of Ukraine, related to performance of organisational, administrative and economic functions in unlawful authorities established in the temporarily occupied territory, including in the occupation administration of the aggressor state).

The suspect is in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. Efforts are underway to bring her to justice for crimes against Ukraine.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
