According to SBU findings, court arrests yacht of Viktor Medvedchuk
The court seized one of the vessels, which, according to the SBU documents, belongs to Viktor Medvedchuk. April 9, the Kherson City Court took the relevant decision on the basis of SBU findings.
In particular, SBU investigators documented repeated violations of the law by a crew of a private vessel "ROMANCE 1" (port of registration – the city of Kherson), including calls at the ports of the temporarily occupied AR of Crimea. Therefore, circumstances of the crew’s regular violation of the procedure for entering and leaving the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine are being investigated within the criminal proceedings.
SBU investigators recorded several dozen cases of illegal entering ports and terminals of the temporarily occupied AR of Crimea.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing into:
- treason;
- financing of actions committed for the purpose of forcible change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of borders of the territory or state border of Ukraine;
- violation of the order of entry into and departure from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine;
- violation of the rules in force on transport.
The operation was conducted by the Investigative Directorate of the SBU Main Office in the AR of Crimea under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol City.
To remind, in February, at the SBU initiative, the National Security and Defense Council introduced economic sanctions against a number of individuals and legal entities, including the Moldovan company JET4U S.R.L. and the Portuguese company JET4U LDA flying to Russia and temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine in violation of the law.
