Following SSU’s investigations, another 4 enemy spotters, including former ‘Berkut’ serviceman, sentenced to prison

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, the courts have convicted another 4 russian informants to real prison terms for adjusting russian air attacks on Ukrainian cities.

The SSU apprehended the offenders during counter-sabotage operations in the capital and Ukraine’s frontline regions.

Following the SSU’s investigations, one of the perpetrators was sentenced to 9 years, and the other three - to 8 years in prison.

In Kyiv:

A trainer of one of the capital’s martial arts schools has been sentenced to prison.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the woman began publishing photos of Ukrainian Defence Forces positions in Kyiv on pro-kremlin Telegram channels.

Due to this, a serviceman of the russian intelligence contacted her and recruited her for covert cooperation.

On his instructions, the agent surveiled locations of Ukrainian defenders in the capital. In her ‘reports’ to handler, she specified not only the locations of Ukrainian units, but also described the servicemen’s uniforms and chevrons.

The informant also provided the enemy with coordinates of critical infrastructure in Kyiv region.

Occupiers used the intelligence to conduct targeted air strikes on Kyiv.

In Donetsk region:

A resident of Kramatorsk, local factory worker, has been sentenced to 9 years in prison.

The offender was guiding russian missiles at routes of movement of the AFU’s heavy armoured vehicles, including foreign-made ones. The informant used a private chat in a popular messenger app to communicate with the aggressor.

Another convicted enemy informant is a former member of the disbanded ‘Berkut’ special police unit. He was passing to his daughter in the temporarily occupied Crimea intelligence on locations of Ukraine’s Defence Forces near Hirnyk and Krasnohorivka in eastern Ukraine.

She passed the information to a serviceman of a russian intelligence service for preparation of targeted air strikes.

In Kharkiv:

The court sentenced another enemy agent to 8 years in prison. The traitor adjusted russian missile attacks on Kharkiv, communicating with his russian acquaintances who were in contact with the aggressor’s intelligence services.

The SSU emphasizes the inevitability of punishment for crimes against our state.

The investigations were carried out by the SSU Offices in Kyiv and Kyiv region, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
