Following SSU’s investigation, court sentences another three FSB informants, who adjusted russian strikes near Bakhmut and Kramatorsk, to prison

The SSU collected irrefutable evidence proving the guilt of another three FSB informants who conducted reconnaissance and subversive activities in the frontline areas of Donetsk oblast.

The enemy agents collected information on locations and movements of the Defence Forces in the combat zone in eastern Ukraine.

Primarily, they tried to identify fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and ‘hunted’ for positions of HIMARS launchers.

The agents also passed coordinates of social infrastructure facilities, including local schools, to the aggressor.

The SSU detained the spies during counter-sabotage operations in the summer and autumn of 2022.

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, the court sentenced the accused to 8 to 12 years in prison.

Among the convicts is an engineer of a strategic enterprise in Donetsk region.

In June 2022, he reconnoitered locations of the Defence Forces near Bakhmut and passed the intelligence to the aggressor via a messenger app.

Based on the collected evidence, the court found him guilty under Article 111-1.7 of the CCU (providing assistance to unlawful armed or paramilitary groups in conducting warfare against the AFU and other military formations).

Another enemy accomplice is a resident of Kramatorsk, who passed data on locations of critical and social infrastructure to the FSB.

The offender tried to involve locals as informants. To do this, he created and personally administered three pro-russian Telegram channels with a total audience of over 10,000 subscribers.

Occupiers needed the intelligence in order to carry out targeted missile strikes on Kramatorsk.

A resident of Pokrovsk district, recruited by the FSB through the banned social networks Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki, was also sentenced to imprisonment.

On the aggressor’s instructions, the woman covertly photographed sites with personnel and military equipment of the Defence Forces in Avdiivka sector.

The court found her guilty under Article 114-2 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information on sending, movement of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the AFU or other lawful military formations, committed under martial law).

The investigations were carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
