Following SSU’s investigation, collaborator who promised apartments for cooperation with russia sentenced to prison

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, the court convicted another collaborator, who cooperated with russian invaders during the occupation of Kharkiv region, to prison.

The perpetrator is a resident of Vovchansk who, after the city was captured, supported the enemy and joined the local occupation administration.

There, she was appointed head of the ‘housing and communal services directorate’ and tasked to arrange barracks for russian troops.

The collaborator, together with her accomplices, ensured that water and electricity were supplied to the buildings where the ruscists were stationed.

To recruit new employees, the woman promised ‘free’ apartments from the invaders.

After the city’s liberation, she tried to avoid justice by pretending to be ‘above politics’. However, the SSU collected evidence of her collaboration with the occupiers and detained her in early October 2023.

The court found the accused guilty under Article 111-1.5 of the CCU (collaboration).

Given her cooperation with the investigation, the court sentenced the offender to 5 years in prison.

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of Chuhuiv District Prosecutor’s Office of Kharkiv region.
