Following SSU’s investigation, court convicts russian agents who collected intelligence on HIMARS and energy facilities in Donetsk region
The SSU has collected irrefutable evidence proving the guilt of another four enemy accomplices.
They collected information on Ukrainian Defence Forces and critical infrastructure facilities in the frontline areas of Donetsk region.
The agents’ primary interest was locations and movement of Ukrainian troops near Bakhmut and Kramatorsk.
They also informed the aggressor on technical condition of power generating facilities, on which russian invaders carried out missile strikes.
The suspects were detained as a result of the SSU’s special operations in Donetsk region.
Given their cooperation with the investigation, court sentenced them to 6 to 8 years of imprisonment.
One of the convicts is an enemy informant who tried to identify combat positions of HIMARS.
Another agent is a former electrician from Dobropillia, who passed information to russian invaders on restoration of electricity supply in the area.
The woman maintained communication with the aggressor through her friend in the temporarily occupied territory of the region.
Occupiers used her information to prepare repeated strikes on critical infrastructure.
Court found the offenders guilty under the Articles of the CCU:
- 114-2 (unauthorized dissemination of information on movement, transfer of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, transfer or deployment of the AFU or other lawful military formations, committed under martial law);
- 258-3.1 (participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organization).
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
