Following SSU investigation, court convicts FSB agent who filmed strikes on Mykolaiv for russian TV
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another agent of russia’s federal security service, who operated in Mykolaiv, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
According to the investigation, the woman filmed the consequences of russian strikes on the city and sent the finished videos to one of the kremlin’s mouthpieces, RIA Novosti, to prepare stories.
Among the locations she filmed were two industrial facilities that the enemy attacked with kamikaze drones in 2023.
The traitor worked for the FSB through Serhiy Lebedev (also known as ‘Lokhmatyi’), who is hiding in Donetsk.
There, he works for the russian special service under the cover of a freelance correspondent of RIA Novosti.
Lebedev used the video files he received to create fake stories for the kremlin news outlet, in which he tried to discredit the Defence Forces in the eyes of the international audience.
The SSU documented the crimes of the enemy agent and detained her at her home in August 2023.
During the search, the Service seized her mobile phone with evidence of her work for the aggressor.
Based on the evidence collected by SSU investigators, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Mykolaiv Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
