Upon SSU’s motion, court takes Motor Sich president into custody
Following the motion of the SSU and the Prosecutor General’s Office, Shevchenkivskyi District Court chose custody as a measure of restraint for the president of Motor Sich JSC.
During the next 60 days, while SSU investigators conduct a pre-trial investigation, he will not be able to leave the detention center.
A similar measure of restraint was chosen for the chief of one of the departments of this enterprise, also detained by the SSU.
Both suspects were notified of suspicion of crimes under the Articles of the CCU:
- 111-1 (collaboration);
- 111-2 (aiding aggressor state).
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. The SSU is acting to identify other participants of the unlawful activity and hold them to account.
Earlier, the SSU published audio recordings of telephone conversations of the Motor Sich president, which confirm his cooperation with the enemy.
Even after russia’s full-scale invasion, the official, who had been repeatedly elected as an MP from the Party of Regions, continued to supply engines and other spare parts for russian attack helicopters.
