The SSU has recorded attempts by the russian intelligence services to use the situation in Kursk region to falsely accuse Ukrainian defenders of committing war crimes. To this end, the russian side creates and disseminates fakes and disinformation that have nothing to do with reality.

Such enemy information and psychological operations are connected, first of all, with the inability to effectively counter Ukraine’s offensive.

According to the SSU’s information, in the near future the russian intelligence services may resort to staging crimes, in particular against the civilian population of Kursk region, in order to blame them on Ukraine.

The SSU warns that such attempts are futile and will have no impact on the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or on the opinion of our international partners.

After all, the Ukrainian Defence Forces have proved to the world that they strictly adhere to the rules and customs of warfare, both in the treatment of russian prisoners of war and civilians.
