Following SSU’s investigation, FSB agent who prepared air attack on Kropyvnytskyi power substation sentenced to 15 years in prison

The SSU has collected substantiated evidence against another FSB agent, who was fulfilling the enemy assignment to adjust russian air strikes on Kropyvnytskyi.

On the FSB’s instructions, the man was to install a GPS tracker near a transformer substation in Kropyvnytskyi.

Using the beacon’s signals, the occupiers wanted to adjust the missile strike on the energy facility.

The SSU detained the offender in late January 2023 when he was installing the GPS tracker on the substation.

Based on the findings of the SSU’s investigation, the court sentenced the enemy agent to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

According to investigators, the offender is a local resident who was recruited remotely by the FSB after the start of the full-scale invasion.

He came to the attention of russian intelligence because of his pro-kremlin views, which he repeatedly shared with others.

Based on the evidence collected, the court found the accused guilty of high treason committed under martial law (Article 111.2 of the CCU).

The SSU emphasizes the inevitability of punishment for crimes against Ukraine.

The SSU Office in Kirovohrad region carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
