Following SSU’s investigation, court sentences FSB agent, who adjusted 10 enemy strikes on civilian targets in Mykolaiv, to 15 years in prison
The SSU has collected irrefutable evidence proving the guilt of an FSB agent involved in a series of russian air attacks on Mykolaiv.
Using information from this individual, on June 26-30, 2022, occupiers carried out missile strikes on ten targets in the city, including civilian infrastructure buildings.
The SSU Counterintelligence detained the enemy agent in Mykolaiv, in July 2022.
During the searches, the SSU found explosives, unregistered firearms and ammunition.
Following the SSU’s investigation, the court sentenced the traitor to 15 years in prison.
The aggressor’s accomplice is a local resident, recruited by the FSB in May 2022.
Russian intelligence ‘noticed’ the man at a pro-kremlin Telegram channel, where he actively justified russia’s armed aggression.
To fulfill the FSB’s assignments, he drove around the city, covertly photographed Ukrainian targets and sent files to an FSB officer in an anonymous chat in the messenger app.
Based on the evidence, the court found the enemy informant guilty under three Articles of the CCU:
- 111.2 (high treason committed under martial law);
- 263.1 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives);
- 436-2.2, 436-2.3 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants committed by an official).
The SSU emphasizes the inevitability of punishment for crimes against Ukraine.
The SSU Office in Mykolaiv region carried out the investigation under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
