Following SSU investigation, FSB agent who adjusted enemy fire and tried to join Cherkasy Region Military Administration sentenced to life imprisonment
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, an FSB agent, who operated in Cherkasy region, has been sentenced to life imprisonment.
The perpetrator, a woman, adjusted russian missile strikes on the region. The aggressor’s main targets were the military infrastructure.
To carry out enemy assignments, she travelled to the target area, conducted reconnaissance and passed coordinates and detailed descriptions of Ukrainian facilities to the occupiers via an anonymous chat.
The agent also tried to get a job at Cherkasy Region Military Administration.
If she joined the institution, she hoped to obtain intelligence on the functioning of local critical infrastructure.
However, the SSU uncovered the traitor in time, documented her criminal actions and detained her.
After the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under two Articles of the CCU:
- 111.2 (high treason, committed under martial law);
- 436-2.2, 436-2.3 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
In addition to the maximum sentence of life imprisonment, the court ordered confiscation of the convict’s property.
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Cherkasy Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
