Following SSU investigation, traitor who adjusted enemy missile strike on Kramatorsk café sentenced to life imprisonment

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, an enemy agent who adjusted a missile attack on a cafe in downtown Kramatorsk on 27 June 2023 has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

The SSU Counterintelligence detained the suspect in hot pursuit. He turned out to be a local resident, recruited by the russian military intelligence before the start of the full-scale invasion.

According to the investigation, on 27 June 2023 he received the enemy’s instructions to find out whether the café in question was open and to record the presence of visitors.

To check this, the agent covertly filmed the establishment and sent the footage to his russian handler.

After receiving the intelligence, the occupiers carried out a targeted missile attack on the location.

As a result, 13 local residents were killed, including 3 children. Another 64 people sustained injuries of varying severity.

The investigation revealed that the enemy asset was a resident of Kramatorsk, an employee of a local gas transport company.

He expressed his pro-kremlin views on multiple occasions, which brought him to the attention of the russian intelligence services.

The court found the accused guilty under the Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
