After SSU investigation, property of Medvedchuk’s and Kozak’s brothers transferred to state ownership

Following an investigation by the SSU and the State Bureau of Investigation, the court seized corporate rights and property complexes belonging to the brothers of traitors, former members of parliament Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak.

This property has already been transferred to the National Agency for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA).

These are assets worth over UAH 200 mln (USD 4.8 mln), which includes a brick production plant in Lviv region, controlled by Serhiy Medvedchuk and Bohdan Kozak as beneficial owners.

The state will also take over the company’s movable and immovable property, including land plots of over 10 hectares, non-residential premises of about 31,000 square metres, four SUVs and several pieces of specialized equipment.

According to the investigation, during 2017-2023, on the instructions of Serhiy Medvedchuk and Bohdan Kozak, the plant’s top management committed financial fraud and deliberately diverted millions of Hryvnias to shadow.

In this way, the company evaded taxes, and the persons involved misappropriated funds that should have gone to Ukraine’s state budget.

Due to the SSU’s intervention, the scheme was uncovered and shut down.

Now these assets will work for Ukraine’s budget, and part of the funds will be used for the AFU’s needs.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Lviv Office jointly with the SBI investigators under the procedural supervision of Lviv Region Prosecutor’s Office.
