Following SSU’s investigation, another two collaborators from Kharkiv and Luhansk regions sentenced to prison terms

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another two traitors have been convicted to prison terms for collaborating with the aggressor in Kharkiv and Luhansk regions.

One of them joined the occupation ‘russian ministry of internal affairs’ during Kupiansk’s occupation. After the area was liberated, he was detained and sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Another perpetrator agreed to head the ruscist ‘communal’ institution in Svatove. Later, the individual moved to Kyiv, tried to lay low and evade justice.

However, the SSU tracked him down and detained in the capital. Following the investigation, the court sentenced the offender to 7 years in prison.

In Kharkiv region:

The collaborator was a 54-year-old resident of Kupiansk, a former official of a local police department.

After the city was captured, the man cooperated with the occupation ‘russian ministry of interior’. The invaders appointed him a ‘forensic expert’ and issued a ‘ID’ and a russian uniform.

In this ‘position’, he helped the occupiers and their henchmen fabricate cases against local members of the resistance movement.

The ‘expert’ received a ‘salary’ in russian rubles.

In Luhansk region:

A resident of Svatove, a former head of a local utility company, has received a prison sentence.

After the town was occupied, he was one of the first to support the invaders, who appointed him to their ‘Svatovo district utility company’.

There, he was renaming the city’s streets in the former USSR’s style.

The collaborator also assisted local gauleiters and their russian supervisors in organizing pro-kremlin propaganda events in the district.

Based on the evidence, the court found both individuals guilty under Article 111-1 of the CCU (collaboration).

The investigations were conducted by the SSU Offices in Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office.
