At SSU’s initiative, UAH 17 bln worth of assets belonging to three putin’s oligarchs seized

Due to the SSU’s efforts, the court seized all corporate rights in Ukraine belonging to sanctioned russian oligarchs Mikhail Fridman, Pyotr Aven and Andrey Kosogov. They are members of putin’s circle and are involved in ‘schemes’ financing russia’s armed aggression.

The court decision pertains to 20 companies and financial institutions owned by the kremlin oligarchs as end beneficiaries or through controlled offshore companies.

The value of the seized corporate rights is over UAH 17 bln (USD 450 mln).

The blocked assets include financial and insurance companies, mobile communications and IT companies, and mineral water plants.

The seizure will prevent the russian owners from re-registering them to shell companies to evade further transfer of assets to Ukraine.

In early September this year, the SSU notified Fridman of suspicion under Article 110-2.3 of the CCU (financing actions committed with the purpose of forceful change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine).

The suspect and his business partners are currently outside Ukraine. Efforts are underway to establish all the circumstances of their subversive activities and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The investigation was carried out under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
