Due to SSU’s investigation, Ukraine nationalizes aircraft of russia’s largest military aircraft manufacturer
Following the SSU’s investigation, the High Anti-Corruption Court granted the claim of the Ministry of Justice to transfer property of the sanctioned russian corporation Rostec to the state budget.
The property in question is an An-140-100 cargo and passenger aircraft worth almost UAH 150 mln (USD 4 mln).
Before russia’s full-scale invasion, the aircraft had been handed over to the Ukrainian state-owned enterprise Antonov for technical adjustments, testing and to be then returned to the aggressor state.
According to the investigation, the russian aircraft was owned by the moscow-based Ilyushin Aviation Complex, which is part of Rostec and a leading manufacturer of military aircraft in russia.
It is this russian company that supplies combat aircraft to the army of the aggressor state fighting against Ukraine.
The SSU is investigating the activities of the management of this russian entity under Article 110-2 of the CCU - financing actions committed with the purpose of changing boundaries of the territory or the state border of Ukraine.
The efforts to nationalize the russian monopolist’s property were carried out under the supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
