Following SSU’s investigation, enemy accomplices sentenced for assisting ruscists to escape from Lyman and spying on South Ukraine NPP

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, two more enemy accomplices from Mykolaiv and Donetsk regions received real sentences.

One of them, a collaborator from a hunting business in Lyman district, was sentenced to 13 years in prison.

According to the investigation, after the occupation of the city, he supported the russian invaders and helped them "occupy" private homes of locals who had left for the territory controlled by Ukraine.

In addition, the collaborator "leaked" to the russian punitive units the homes of members of the resistance movement in the region.

Moreover, during the liberation of the district center and neighboring villages, the offender developed an escape route for russian troops through the forests to the town of Kreminna, Luhansk region.

SSU officers detained the traitor in September 2022 during stabilization activities. Based on the SSU materials, the court found him guilty under Art. 111-1.7 of the CCU (collaboration).

Another convict, a resident of Mykolaiv region, was sentenced to 8 years in prison. He collected information on the location, number of personnel and available weapons of the Defense Forces guarding the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant.

In addition, he used a messenger to pass the locations of power substations in the southern region to the russian intelligence service.

For each completed task, the offender received money from the occupiers. To keep in secret, the money were transferred to the bank card of his friend, who was unaware of that.

Based on the evidence collected, the court found the enemy informant guilty under Art. 114-2.3 of the CCU (unauthorized dissemination of information about the sending, movement of weapons, armaments and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, relocation or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine).

The SSU Offices in Mykolaiv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office carried out the operation.
