Maliuk Vasyl Vasylovych

First Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine - Head of the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption and Organised Crime of the Central Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine

Maliuk Vasyl Vasylovych was born on February 28 1983 in the city of Korostyshiv, Zhytomyr region.

In 2005, he graduated from the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine with a law degree.

In 2001, he began his military service in the state security agencies. During his service in the regional SSU offices, he held positions from Operative Officer to the department’s Deputy Head - head of the Department for Combating Corruption and Organised Crime.

In January 2020, he was appointed First Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption and Organised Crime of the Security Service of Ukraine.

In March 2020, by Presidential Decree, Maliuk Vasyl Vasylovych was appointed First Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine - Head of the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption and Organised Crime of the Central Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine.

For his performance of official duties in the ATO area, Lieutenant Colonel Vasyl Maliuk received the Presidential award “For participation in the ATO operation”.

Vasyl Maliuk has a number of departmental awards and promotions. He was awarded with the SSU badges "For Courage" and "For Valour".

For valour and devotion shown in fulfilment of his official duties, Vasyl Maliuk was awarded the SSU honorary weapon. 

Vasyl Maliuk has a status of participant in military activities.
