SBU conducts in Vinnytsia region systematic work to expose and terminate corruption mechanisms organized by officials of state enterprises and public organizations.

So, special service operatives found that the supervisor of safe railway operation of the regional branch of the "South-Western Railway” of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia" systematically extorted and received money for execution of permits to commercial structures.

For the reward official signed inspection report on the tracks of Ukrzaliznytsia connecting stations. Entering the tracks of locomotives, technical inspection of which actually wasn’t committed, created conditions for the occurrence of accidents on the railway. Law-enforcement officers detained official in accordance with the Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine while receiving the next illegal profit amounting at UAH 10.000. SBU officers also documented that the director of one of the medical colleges of the region demanded from the head of private enterprise improper advantage in the amount of UAH 50.000. In such a sum he estimated provision of contract conclusion for construction works worth a total of almost UAH 300 000. The offender was detained on receiving a part of bribe in the amount of UAH 25,000. Previously, receiving by the official the first part of the bribe in the amount of UAH 20,000 was documented.

Within the framework of initiated criminal proceedings under Part 3 Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the investigations are ongoing. The operation to expose illegal activities was conducted under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor's Office of Vinnytsia region and Kyiv city local Prosecutor’s Office №7.
