SBU detains active member of the so-called “Self-defense of Crimea” at “Chonhar” checkpoint
SBU detained the active member of the so-called “Self-defense of Crimea” who participated in the blocking of military facilities in 2014 at the Chonhar checkpoint.
SBU operatives particularly established the intruder personally captured the Staff of Naval Forces of Ukraine in Sevastopil. This has reduced state’s ability to respond promptly to Russia’s military aggression.
He was awarded by invaders a medal “For the returning of Crimea”, a badge “3-d defense of Sevastopil” and a merit certificate.
SBU officers together with police detained a man while entering territory controlled by Ukrainian authorities for personal purposes.
He was served a notice of suspicion of committing the crime stipulated by Part 5 Art. 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, custody was chosen as a measure of restraint.
The investigative actions are under way.
