Investigators of the SBU Main Directorate in Kyiv and Kyiv region suspect the former Director of Kyiv Transport Parking Service ME of neglect of official duty.

Pre-trial investigation established that the official signed agreements with private companies on leasing of more than 150 car parks in Kyiv during 2016-2018.

Despite the fact that he was aware of leasers’ violations (over limits parking slots, unauthorized extension of car parks) he failed to take measures to eliminate these violations. This inaction caused to UAH 11,000,000 (USD 460,000) losses to Kyiv city budget.

The former official is served notice of suspicion of neglect of official duty by Part 2 Article 367 of Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Investigative actions are ongoing.

The procedural supervision in criminal proceeding is being conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office of Kyiv City.
