SBU officers exposed official of the Department of executive direction of the Social Insurance Fund on obtaining of improper advantage in Ternopil city.

Operatives of the special service established that official extorted bribe for recovery of expenses for medical aid from the local resident.

Law enforcers detained the offender at his workplace according to Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine when receiving UAH 20,000 of improper advantage.

Within the framework of a criminal proceeding initiated under Part 3 Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the issue of serving to the detainee a notice of suspicion and choosing a measure of restraint is being settled. The request on choosing a measure of restraint and removing him from the office is pending.

Measures to expose offender were conducted jointly with the National Police under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor's Office of Ternopil region.
