SBU exposed the organized drug group, which was engaged in manufacturing and sale of amphetamine in Mykolaiv.

Operatives of the special service found that illegal drug business was organized by the local resident under the protection of the policeman. The attacker, together with his accomplices, equipped drug lab in one of the private automobile garages of the regional center.

Attackers sold produced substance to the drug-addicted persons of the city. The total amount of drug trafficking comprised in the average half a million of hryvnias per month at the price - 1 gram - UAH 500.

7 drug dealers, whose activity was “protected" by the policeman worked for the organizer.

Within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under Part 2 Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine law enforcement officers conducted 11 searches at the places of attackers’ residence and in their cars. During the investigative actions, over 

200 grams of amphetamine, a significant number of weapons and ammunition were seized.

Currently, in accordance with the Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine the organizer of the drug business, the policeman and three more involved persons have been detained.

The investigation is ongoing.

The operation was conducted jointly with the Internal Security Unit of the National Police and the investigators of the Territorial unit of the State Bureau of Investigations in Mykolaiv city.
