Mariupol city: SBU detains “DNR” terrorist organization militant, taking part in Toretsk shelling (video added)

SBU CI officers detained in the JFO area a militant of “DNR” terrorist organization, who over two years has shelled locations of Ukrainian troops.

Operatives of the special service established that with the beginning of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, Horlivka resident joined the pro-Russian terrorists. As a grenadier he was a member of the so-called “1-st Army Corps of DNR" and took an active part in combat operations near Horlivka in the direction of Toretsk and provided shelling from “Shankhai" and "6\7" locations.

In 2016, after receiving head wound, the militant was invalided out.

Looking for a job, at the end of 2019, he got to Mariupol, where he was detained by a law enforcement officers.

Within the framework of initiated criminal proceedings, the detainee has been served a notice of suspicion under Part 1 Art. 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine; the custody was chosen as a measure of restraint.  

Currently, the bill of indictment against him has been referred to the Sloviansk municipal district court of Donetsk region.
