SBU disclosed the fact of misappropriation by officials of state lands of Natural Reserve Fund with estimated value of almost UAH 1 billion, which are located in the elite district near Kyiv.

The special services operatives found that the management of the district branch of the StateGeoCadastre and the District State Administration of Obukhivskyi District of Kyiv region was illegally transferred from public to private property 23 land plots with total area of 42 hectares. Lands of the “Koncha Lake”, which are in the landscape reserve of local significance and belong to the Natural Reserve Fund of Ukraine, were re-issued to individuals related to the customer of unlawful alienation.

According to the materials of the SBU Main Directorate of Counterintelligence Protection of the State's Interests in the field of Economic Security, the State Bureau of Investigations Territorial Administration in Kyiv with the Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office registered the criminal offence under Part 2 Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The Pecherskyi District Court in Kyiv imposed arrests on 23 land plots with the approximate estimated value of UAH 930 million.

The measures on returning the illegally alienated land plots in the state property are continuing.

The pre-trial investigation is under way.
