SBU CI Department officers detained the organizer of illegal scheme for repair and maintenance of military transport planes of one of the African countries in the “Boryspil” International Airport. The offender was put on the ‘wanted’ list.

In November 2018 the SBU officers uncovered specialists from one of the domestic state-owned enterprises, who without permission of the State Service of Export Control carried out repairs of aircraft of foreign country.

After serving to offenders notices of suspicion of committing the crime stipulated by Part 1 Art. 333 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the organizer of the deal - Kyiv businessman - escaped to the EU, where he was hiding from Ukrainian justice.

The escapee was detained in the “Boryspil” International Airport passport control area after returning to Ukraine. Currently he received a measure of restraint.
