SBU blocked activity of the group, specializing in illegal manufacturing and sale of counterfeit drugs in Poltava region.

The group organizer, representative of the commercial structure of the pharmaceutical industry, arranged in Lubny underground shop for manufacturing of counterfeit drugs for sale. The dealers sold finished products through the controlled pharmacy chain in the region.

During the searches at the places of residence of involved persons and at the "production" the law enforcement officers seized more than 20 items of counterfeit medical drugs, almost 5.5 kg of precursor, packing, labels, etc. Medical equipment without certificates of conformity and declarations of registration has also been detected.

Currently, law enforcement officers seize counterfeit products from the pharmacy chain to prevent its acquisition by citizens. Seized items and substances are sent for examination.

Within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under Part 2 Art. 321-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, investigations are ongoing to prosecute persons, in particular, those involved in illegal activities.

The operation was conducted with the State Service of Medicines and Drugs Control in Poltava region under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office.
