Sumy region: SBU detains anonymous for threats to mine courts

SBU detained in Sumy anonymous for regular, knowingly false reports about allegedly mining of state institutions.

A resident of the regional center, who is a lawyer, regularly, during several months, reported through the "102" line about the pseudo-mining of court buildings, as well as the Center for the Provision of Administrative Services.

Law enforcement officers detained the offender in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine after fourth phone “mining” of the court building.

During the searches at the place of residence of involved persons, law enforcement officers seized several mobile terminals and a large number of SIM-cards of various mobile operators with evidence of illegal activities.

The detainee was served a notice of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2 Art. 259 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article provides imprisonment for a term from 4 to 8 years. The operation was conducted with the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office.
