SBU officers detected and prevented the contract murder of the SBU National Academy employee.

Operatives of the special service found that a resident of one of the cities of Kirovohrad region was searching for a killer for the murder of his ex-wife, an employee of the SBU Academy. The contractor has legal disputes with a woman concerning the determination of common child’s place of residence and payment of alimony.

Law enforcement officers carried out in Kyiv a simulation of disappearance and murder of a victim, upon which they informed the contractor about its execution. The life of wife he estimated at USD 1 thousand. To implement criminal plan, the organizer of the murder carefully prepared and carried out the conspiracy measures. To communicate with the performer, he used specially purchased means of communication, the funds were transferred through bank payment systems. SBU officers detained ex-husband immediately after the transferring to the “killer" the last amount of money for the work executed in one of the district centers of Kirovohrad region.

Within the framework of initiated criminal proceeding, the issue of serving notice of suspicion of committing a crime set forth in cl. 11, Part 2 Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is under consideration. The investigation is ongoing.

The special operation was conducted by the SBU Office in Kirovohrad region with the SBU Main Directorate of Internal Security and the National Police, under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor's Office of Kirovohrad region.
