The members of the inter-regional organized group, exposed by the Security Service of Ukraine on the illegal drug pushing, are sentenced to imprisonment.

Two prisoners who served their sentence in Manevych correctional colony organized delivery of drugs to sentenced persons. For this reason, offenders engaged “freeside” accomplices – two residents of Volyn and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, who illegally transferred them drugs on the territory of the penitentiary institution.

Besides delivery of drugs to the colony, they also were engaged in the sale of drug-containing pills "Subutex" in different regions of our country. In 2017 law enforcement officers detained them in Manevych and Kalush on preparation to push a regular consignment of drugs.

Lutsk inter-district court found guilty of detainees and one of the organizers of the group of committing crimes, stipulated by Part 3 Art. 307, Part 3 Art. 28, Part 1 Art. 306, Part 3 Art. 28, Part 2 Art. 308 and Art. 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court imposed punishment in the form of imprisonment for a period of 7 years with confiscation of property to two malefactors. The third one got imprisonment for a term of 4,5 years with confiscation of property. Materials on the fourth, previously convicted, member of the group, are treated as a separate case and are pending before the court. Investigative actions are ongoing to bring to justice other persons involved in unlawful activities. The Court of Appeal of Volyn region left the decision of the court of first instance unchanged.
