The Security Service of Ukraine suspects chief engineer of one of the communal enterprises of Ivano-Frankivsk city of obtaining a bribe in the amount of almost UAH 120 thousand.

According to the investigation, official demanded money from a local resident for the sale of building materials that are on the balance of the enterprise. The sale of the "goods" was planned by the chief engineer with violation of provided by the law procedures. Law enforcement officers detained the official in the territory of the enterprise after receiving UAH 118 thousand - the entire amount of the unlawful benefit.

In the framework of the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 3 Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the issue of serving to official a notice of suspicion of committing a crime is being solved. The investigation is ongoing. The operation was conducted jointly with the municipal police unit of the Main Directorate of the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Ivano-Frankivsk region.
