SBU officers, engaged in JFO, jointly the with Main Directorate for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime of the SBU exposed on bribe a prosecutor of Krasnoarmiisk Prosecutor’s Office of Donetsk region.

Allegedly, the official extorted from a local company USD 3,500 for closing the case and  “shielding” from criminal responsibility under Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The prosecutor was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine at his office when he received UAH 91,000 (USD 3,500).

The issue of serving a notice of suspicion is being decided within the framework of criminal proceeding under Part 3 Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The investigation is ongoing.

The operation was conducted jointly with the State Bureau of Investigations under the supervision of the General Prosecutor’s Office.
