For six months, the SBU CI has prevented the appropriation of more than UAH 742,000,000 (USD 26,500) of budget funds on the execution of the state defense order. The law enforcement also blocked embezzlement in the area of military-technical cooperation and export control for more than UAH 700,000,000 (USD 25,000).

Thus, investigators registered 4 criminal proceedings under Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on the facts of abuse of state money in the defense-industrial complex by officials of some law enforcement agencies and state-owned enterprises.

The SBU CI also prevented the illegal export of military-purposed and double use goods for the amount of more than UAH 647,000,000 (USD 23,000).

According to the facts of illegal trafficking of these goods, law enforcement initiated 28 criminal proceedings under Art. 333 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Due to the revealed violations in the sphere of export control, there are imposed penalties for over UAH 137,000,000 (USD 5,000).

According to the SBU investigation, the courts have already issued 13 sentences. Regarging other facts, investigative actions are underway to establish all the circumstances of the offenses and to prosecute those involved in the unlawful activity.
