“LNR” ex-prisoner testifies about tortures to SBU (video)

SBU carries on taking testimonies from ex-prisoners of pro-Russian terrorists about facts of breaking the law and human right violations on the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

A resident of Lysychansk City, who was arrested by the terrorists in 2014 and spent 10 months in Luhansk detention facility, addressed the SBU. The ex-prisoner informed the SBU about tortures, which he personally survived. He also told that tortures and severe beatings were generally applied to the prisoners. The militants often visited the detention facilities to “practice their combating skills” on the detainees. Many of the victims broke down and committed suicide. Deaths, resulted from beatings, were recorded by the administration as natural deaths.

SBU thoroughly records all the testimonies, taken from the ex-prisoners of the terrorists. As of now, a strong evidence base on crimes against civilians, committed by pro-Russian militants, is collected. SBU has already announced of suspicion of terrorist activity to nine representatives of “Department of Corrections” of “LNR”, including the directors of colonies and other heads of structural units.
