Poland: SBU materials help to convict arsonists of Office of Society of Hungarian Culture (video)
SBU material helped to convict in the Court of Krakow three right-wing activists of “Falange” and “Strzelec” organizations for arson attempt of Office of Society of Hungarian Culture in Uzhhorod City.
In 2018, two facilitators committed the arson attempt: one of them threw a Molotov cocktail at the building, while the other one was filming the crime.
Within the initiated criminal proceedings, SBU conducted a complex of operational search actions. SBU employees established, that two Poland citizens, involved in the case, were members of the right-wing organization “Falange”. Members of the above organization participated in combat operations on Donbas territory, with the militants of “LNR” and “DNR”. Ukrainian law enforcement identified the criminals with the help of security cameras, established the mobile phones, through which they coordinated their actions, as well as gas station, where they bought petrol for arson, prior to crossing the Ukrainian border. During the pre-trial investigation, the SBU found out that the arson was organized by a third criminal – a member of the right-wing organization in Poland. Ukrainian party transmitted the above files to the National Public Prosecutor’s Office of Poland via the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine. The Polish law enforcement detained the criminals. The Court of Krakow found them guilty. The organizer is convicted to three years in prison, while the facilitators are convicted to smaller terms in prison.
