Kirovograd region: SBU warns illegal explosives trafficking (video)
The Security Service of Ukraine exposed and blocked in Kirovograd region illegal sale of explosive munitions smuggled from the JFO area.
Allegedly, a resident of Oleksandriia, Kirovograd region, manufactured improvised explosive devices for sale in a clandestine workshop arranged in a rented garage. The ammos were illegally exported from the JFO area. Then, the offender tried to sale finished goods on the territory of the region through personal contacts.
The law enforcement detained the attacker on one of the streets after selling 13 improvised explosives with a total weight of more than a kilogram.
Furthermore, SBU officers seized 5 more explosives during the searches at the offender’s place of residence.
After a special examination, the detainee was served a notice of suspicion under Part 1 Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigation is ongoing to establish and bring to justice other persons involved in arms trafficking.
Measures to expose the illegal activity were conducted with the National Police under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor's Office of Kirovograd region.
