Kyiv city: Raiders are suspected of misappropriation of property of State Management of Affairs
SBU Main Directorate for Fighting Corruption and Organized Crime officers prevented forcible takeover of a property of State Management of Affairs, located on Bankova street in Kyiv city.
During the pre-trial investigation, SBU operatives documented that the attackers, using personal data on a deceased individual, had carried out illegal re-registration of state property.
In October last year, one of the suspects, a former People's Deputy of Ukraine of IV and V convocation, was detained on his attempt of concluding a contract for the sale.
During the further investigation, law enforcement officers found that a private notary officer and a lawyer were involved in the illegal scheme. Moreover, one of the offenders used Ukrainian passport in another person's name.
On March 27 2020, the lawyer and the notary were served notices of suspicion under Part 3 Art. 15, Part 4 Art. 190, Part 4 Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Investigative and operative actions are underway. The measures to establish all persons involved in the crime are being taken.
The operation was conducted jointly with the Kyiv Local Prosecutor's Office No. 7.
