SBU CI exposes new attempts of recruitment by “MGB LNR” (video)
SBU CI exposed another attempts of recruitment of Luhansk residents by the terrorist groups to implement reconnaissance and subversive tasks on the territory of Ukraine.
A resident of Troitsky district, a university student, was occasionally visiting his relatives in the temporarily occupied Luhansk city. Under a false pretext, the student was detained while crossing the line of contact by the representatives of the so-called LNR Ministry of State Security (“MGB LNR”).
The militants intimidated and exerted psychological pressure on the student to extract information about his “ties” with Ukrainian law enforcement authorities. Threatening to kill the student, the militants forced him to sign an agreement for cooperation with “MGB LNR”.
On his returning to the government-controlled territory, the student came into view of the SBU. It was established, that the student did not carry out any tasks of the terrorist organization.
Another Ukrainian citizen – a resident of Novoaidarskyi district, was also illegally detained by the IAF members on the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region.
The militants were beating him up in order to force a “confession” to preparation of subversive act in temporarily occupied Luhansk city.
The man was proposed a confidential cooperation in exchange for his release. After his refusal, the man was beaten severely and left unconscious in the woods.
Later, the man was able to get to government-controlled territory of Luhansk region, where he was given first aid.
The Security Service of Ukraine warns that any citizen of Ukraine can come into view of Russia-controlled representatives of IAF.
